Terrible, Two Giant Carpet Pythons Confront Each Other For Offspring

Two giant carpet pythons fell from a cliff into the sea, stunning onlookers as they fought near the boardwalk at a popular surfing beach.

Two adult male carpet pythons caught fighting over a nearby female. Both snakes fell off the cliff face at Point Cartwright and surfed below.

Carpet pythons can live up to 20 years and are non-venomous but kill their prey by constricting it.
They are one of the most common snakes in Queensland and reach a maximum length of 12 feet (3.5 metres).

They are particularly fond of rats and mice, but their diet can include a wide variety of animals and birds.

It is not certain who won the battle after both snakes fell from the cliff and surfed below.
